Title: Worry
Original Size: 20 x 8 in
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Stretched Canvas
Artist Statement:
Worry is an abstract tribute to the quiet strength and enduring love of women — especially the love of mothers and wives. It is a visual testimony to the emotional weight they carry, often in silence, and the unwavering support they offer through life’s most difficult moments.
In my own life, I’ve been held together by the love of two women: a mother who never stopped showing love, even when I made it hard, and a wife whose loyalty to her family never wavered, even when tested by my own mistakes. Their worry — often unspoken — is not weakness but proof of their deep, unconditional love.
This piece is not just about anxiety or fear. It’s about the emotional labor women take on instinctively, the weight they carry for the people they love, and the inner strength it takes to care so deeply. Worry was created using layered acrylic and round brush techniques, with movement and texture designed to evoke both tenderness and emotional tension.
