Artist Statement:

Street is an abstract homage to my memories of the early 1990s — a time when life felt simpler, with fewer choices and less pressure. Back then, my biggest responsibility was simply to enjoy the day. This painting channels that carefree spirit through vibrant colors and dynamic movement, evoking the bright hues of blacklight bulbs in skating rinks, playful smiley faces, and whimsical aliens.

Created with layered acrylics using both bold round brush strokes and soft foam brush techniques, the piece carries an airbrush-like softness that complements its energetic spirit. Street is meant to feel like the kind of wall art a suburban teenager might have painted—innocent, creative, and joyful—a heartfelt nod to the early days of graffiti culture.
