Title: Thoughts Swirling
Size: 34 x 34 in
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Stretched Canvas (framed in black wood)
Artist Statement:
Thoughts Swirling is an abstract expression of the relentless chaos of an overactive mind — a visual representation of countless unorganized thoughts swirling together, refusing to be neatly compartmentalized. Like my earlier work Senses Overwhelmed, this painting captures the struggle of managing a flood of ideas and emotions all vying for attention at once.
The dynamic brushstrokes represent individual thoughts moving independently, yet coexisting in the same space. They flow in an unpredictable rhythm, creating an offset dance of color and motion that is both chaotic and beautiful — a one-of-a-kind choreography that offers a surprising sense of peace amid the turmoil.
Created with acrylics on a 34 x 34” stretched canvas, framed in black wood, Thoughts Swirling uses a palette where colors intersect smoothly while maintaining their distinct identities. The painting evokes the feeling of a hurricane’s turbulent energy, drawing the viewer into its swirling motion, where focus is elusive but the overall effect is mesmerizing.
